Flag Cases and My Depart with Dignity Services

Unfinished Flag Case with removable divider

The Depart with Dignity program that was announced by the Chief of the Defence Staff in April 2003, was designed to ensure that proper recognition is bestowed upon all Canadian Forces members leaving the service, under honourable circumstances on release.

Within this program retiring members can receive a Canadian Flag that has flown on any Government building including on the Peace Tower. It can be provided free of charge through the Ministry of Public Works and Government Services, with the highest priority going to members who have served 35 years plus.

I am offering for sale a custom built Flag Case, which is an ideal retirement gift. It is divided into two separate compartments, one for displaying of a folded Flag and another for displaying the retiree's medals, undress ribbons and accoutrements.A brass Plaque can also be attached with any inscription desired. Any arrangement is possible including any important memorabilia highlighting the members accomplishments during his career. The shadowbox can be finished in any colour stain to match any decor. The standard box measures 18 inches square and three inches deep, but larger sizes can be manufactured upon request.
